We help you to protect and enhance important natural habitat, making vital space for nature to survive and thrive.

Restoring nature isn’t just great for wildlife – it's great for your land or business too. It can help you become more resilient to the impacts of climate change such as flooding and soil erosion, boost your business through encouraging pollinators and natural pest control, as well as offer new income streams.

From pond restoration and grassland creation to invasive species control and County Wildlife Site surveys and management, we provide a range of services - from light-touch advice to detailed management plans and delivery - to suit every site and budget.

We can also provide advice on ways you can fund your nature recovery work – in some cases this can include full funding of all planning and delivery. See below for more details.

Farmland pond survey and advisory service

We offer a free site visit for farmers and landowners to assess your ponds or ghost ponds and provide advice on their management and restoration. We can also conduct an assessment to see if your ponds meet the criteria for the District Level Licencing scheme funding through Natural England - this can cover the full costs of pond restoration work, helping save wildlife, whilst saving you money!

County Wildlife Sites

A County Wildlife Site (CWS) is an area of land rich in wildlife: it could include areas of ancient woodland, species rich grassland, heath, fen or water bodies. County Wildlife Sites can be found throughout Norfolk and outside of the nationally protected areas (such as Sites of Special Scientific Interest and National Nature Reserves), they are the best areas for wildlife in the county.

Our CWS team lead Norfolk’s survey and advice work on CWS, ensuring habitat data is current and supporting County Wildlife Site owners to manage their land favourably for wildlife.

County Wildlife Site management statements and plans

Our expert County Wildlife Site Advisers can produce short management statements, including site condition, vision and management actions, or full and detailed management plans for parish councils, district councils and private landowners.

County Wildlife Site monitoring

We can conduct baseline monitoring surveys, with condition assessments, followed by follow-up monitoring 2-3 years after a management change or restoration.

County Wildlife Site surveys

We can conduct extensive full surveys for new and existing County Wildlife Sites.

Woodland Management Plans

Our woodland experts can facilitate an application for a DEFRA Woodland Management Plan grant and complete a UK Forestry standard Woodland Management Plan.
