Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA)
We will provide you a clear, planning-ready assessment of likely impacts of your project or development on habitats and species, including practical mitigation recommendations to protect wildlife, to keep your project moving.
Protected species surveys and licensing
We will deliver targeted wildlife surveys for species including bats, great crested newts (including eDNA), badgers, water voles, otters, reptiles and more. These will include mitigation recommendations and delivery as well as support to meet your legal planning license duties and reduce delays to your project or development.
Preliminary Ecological Appraisal (PEA)
We will carry out a fast early-stage desk study and site walkover to flag constraints, confirm wildlife survey needs, and recommend ways to reduce any material risks to wildlife within your development design, to support your planning submission.
Habitat surveys
We offer habitat mapping and classification to evidence ecological value, inform design and management, and underpin planning and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requirements.
Habitat Regulations Assessment (HRA)
If you are looking to embark on a project or development close to sites with European wildlife designations and protections, such as Special Area of Conservation (SAC), Special Protection Area (SPA), and Ramsar, we can carry out robust habitat assessments, demonstrate any effects your plans may have on site integrity and support you to meet statutory compliance requirements.
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG)
If you need to mitigate for the impacts your development may have on wildlife, we will carry out baseline and post-development calculations to ensure you can demonstrate at least 10% net gain.
Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan (HMMP)
If you are interested in exploring the income-generation opportunities offered by the Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) scheme, we can offer practical 30-year management and monitoring plans to help you to secure BNG delivery and satisfy planning conditions.
MoRPh river surveys
We can carry out detailed physical habitat survey for short river reaches, producing clear indicators to inform management and restoration.
Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW)
Our experts can act as on-site ecological oversight for your developments and projects, including briefing your contractors, to ensure compliance, support you to implement wildlife mitigation, and avoid costly delays.
